Did you know that Otters hold hands while they're sleeping so they don't float away? How cute is that?!

I hate it that learning to drive is so expensive.
I feel like I have to pass my driving test asap so I don't loose a car and all my money.
I've moved house yet can't make it look good as all my money goes on driving.
I've lost responsibility and become a floater at work.
I don't like my boyfriend being my boss.
I hate it that my skin is so bad yet supposedly not bad enough for any decent treatment.
My best friend's moved an hours drive away and I'm not very good at planning in advance.
I can't fit into any of my clothes.
I need to loose weight but don't have the drive to exercise after a week at work.
Sometimes it feels better to let it all out and start again :)

At the moment I feel like I'm about to pop with a mixture of stress and excitement! Only 4 days till we move! I'm a total worrier and although people are trying to help, I'm stressed 'cause it's not going how I thought it'd go, and I've kinda lost control. I know, makes me sound really bratty, but I'd had it all planned in my head, and now other people are taking over. It'll be alright on the day, I just need to start moving and I'll be alright!

And that put paid to it. I wonder who first discovered the power of poetry in driving away love?

I thought that poetry was the food of love.

Of a fine stout love, it may. But if it is only a vague inclination I'm convinced one poor sonnet will kill it stone dead

So what do you recommend to encourage affection?

Dancing. Even if one's partner is barely tolerable.

Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.

Sooo only 11 days until we get the keys to our new house! Excited is a major understatement, I literally can't wait!! We've had a few people come round and view the flat, and it's really stressing me out trying to pack and keep the flat in a show home like state, so the moment that last box is in the new house is greatly welcomed.
We've just had our current landlords over for a cup of tea, and to discuss when we're moving etc. They are literally the nicest landlords ever, and I hope our new ones are half as nice. They didn't look round our flat, they just said it was in great condition and they'll pop over and pick up the keys once we're settled in the new house.
It means we'll get all our deposit back which is ALOT of driving lesson for me! I know, I know, in my new years resolutions I was meant to book my first lesson before now, but the move has thrown everything a bit off course.. I think spending all of my deposit on lessons rather than going to Mexico (it was a close call..) more than makes up for it though!

So I made the best birthday cake EVER for Josh. I know I'm blowing my own trumpet a bit but it was gorgeous! It was Nigella Lawsons Chocolate fudge cake (recipe here) and I bought these really cute fondant icing
angry birds from ebay (ellamakescakes) which I would recommend if you're thinking of making one yourself. It went slightly wrong towards the end, as the cake split in half, but you could barely tell once it had been decorated!

I ordered my first "graze" box which arrived today. You basically go through and rate different foods to say whether you love, like, would like to try or dislike, and they pick a random selection and send them to you! They're soooo tasty and all fresh and mainly organic! And they're only £3.49 with free delivery :)

Anyway I have a code which gets you a free box, and gives me a pound off my next order so if anyone happens to come across this blog and would like to try one just click this link www.graze.com/p/NW2NG11 :) You have to put your card details in but don't worry, they wont charge you and it's easily cancelable!

So I'm moving! It all came around very quickly, I've been looking at houses for a while, but Josh didn't seem so keen on moving, until one night he said about it. We booked viewings at 2 that we both liked and took the second one, all within about a week! We really needed a garden, we've lived in a flat for 3 years now and it's horrible in the summer not being able to laze outside in the garden. Plus we have the kittens and it would be nice to let them go outside (although I am going to be so protective and paranoid!).
We've been asked if we think we've rushed into it, and I'm 100% sure we haven't. We both knew the house was for us when we saw it, we're aloud the kittens and it's much bigger for less money than most of the properties around at the moment. I am so excited, I literally can't wait to move. I love sorting everything out, and arranging where everything will go. We don't move until the end of Feb and I really hope it flys by. The only down side is me and Josh are going to postpone both our birthdays until April as we wont get our deposit back from the previous place for at least 10 days after we move. It's all worth it though!

This year I'm determinded to stick to my New Years Resolutions - loose weight/ get healty and learn to drive. So far it's going well - I've ordered my provisional license and once that comes through I'm gonna start my lessons and practice with my mum. Hopefully I'll pick it up quite quickly 'cause I can't wait to be on the road driving. On the fitness side of things I've completely cut out sugar from everything including my tea (Big step for me as I usualy have 2 - or 5 if it's the teeny packets..) and am swapping junk for soup.
I've taken up Zumba with my best friend, which is tiring but so much fun!! I got the game for the wii as well, which unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try as I need an adaptor for my TV, but it looks great. I did however get a dance mat for christmas too which I have tried, and it's soo funny! Hopefully this time next year I'll be writing about how healthy I am and how great it is to be driving!♥

So... My blog's been a bit neglected over christmas. It seems mad that everyone rushes around, and puts so much time, money and effort into such a short amount of time, only for it to be over before you know it. It's all completely worth it though, it's got to be pretty much my favourite time of the year :D As always we went round to my parents on Christmas eve and didn't leave until the evening after boxing day, it was nice to spend some time with them (and not have to cook!).
It was the kittens first christmas, and we warily took them with us - my parents have a much bigger cat as well as a dog so in the back of my mind I was worried something would go wrong.. My parents have a garden whereas we live in a flat so the kittens can't go outside, so we gave them their first outside experience. Jager wasn't so keen (He's a proper scaredy cat!) but Garfs love it, was so cute! I'm pretty sure he could have stayed out there all day, but it started to rain and my dad came back with the dog. We've definately got to buy a house of our own soon, but it's all so expensive and we just can't afford the deposit!
My brothers girlfriend was over for christmas too, she's from Holland so had to fly over. It was nice to get to know her a bit more, but it seems weird that next year my brother might go over there - I couldn't imagain a christmas without him. I've got no photos of christmas this year (except for this one with my dad, Josh and our enormous ham! The photo really doesn't do it justice!), which is extremely unlike me, but my D80 was too big to take, and my compact has finally given up and died.. Oh well, only 361 days till next Christmas...♥

Can you spot the new addition to our tree..?

Yep... Garfield!!

He absolutely loves climbing it which is why it looks a state! We've had to take all the decorations off so they don't break, and all the branches are pointing down where he's climbed it so much! Luckily we used a crappy fake tree instead of a real one this year, as we thought something would be similar. Unfortunately he falls to the bottom too quick for me to get any decent pics, but he looks mayjorly cute doing it! ♥

I love this guy, me and Josh are gonna go see him in London in January, and get a hotel for the night - something to look forward to after Christmas has been and gone :) Not sure what it'll be like, as he's pretty chilled out, but I'm looking forward to it.
